The Wisdom of Harrell Beck

Do it all the time, don't we?

I love the story of the old Arab Sheik who got lost out on the desert. When he finally found his way home in the rain and the cold, he discovered there was nothing to eat. He was hungry and lit a candle and reached down into the only thing he had: an old pot of dates. He held one of them up to the candle and noticed it was wormy; flipped it out of the flap of the tent. Reached down and got another date and held it up to the candle and noticed it was wormy; flipped it out of the flap of the tent. Then he blew out the candle and ate the rest of the dates. Do it all the time don’t we?  Do it all the time.
